The Schlage GF3000 is a Grade 1 electromagnetic shear lock rated for 3,000 lbs of holding force, built for maximum security openings. This model mortise mounts into the frame header, with a top jamb version available on this page and a low-profile surface mount model (GF3000SM) sold separately; a patented design of locking tabs on the magnet assembly and mating grooves in the armature plate delivers the shear holding strength.
Microprocessor controlled electronics provide auto-sensed voltage, auto relocking, an adjustable relock time delay, and options for integration with an access control system. The lock jumps a 1/4" gap with no in-rush current, and an optional DSM/MBS package adds a door status monitor and magnetic bond sensor for supervised installations.
The GF3000 is UL 10C listed for positive pressure fire tests of door assemblies (3 hour), ANSI/BHMA A156.23 Grade 1, cUL approved, and meets CSFM requirements. The magnetic coil assembly is covered by a limited lifetime warranty.
